Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon chili powder

  • 1 teaspoon garam masala

  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnishing

Directions

  • Firstly, Wash the potatoes and peel them. After that, cut them into thin strips. If you want the French fries to be more crisp, leave the cut potatoes strip in the water for 10 minutes. Then, drain the water and let it dry.

  • Take a large mixing bowl and put the potato strips in it. Add 2 tablespoons olive oil to it, then sprinkle the salt, chili powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and black pepper over the potatoes. Mix it well. That strip is coated with spices

  • Now, take the deep-fry pan, add oil or ghee, and heat it. When the oil is hot, add the masala fries carefully. Do not overcrowd. Fry the French fries until golden color appears on them.

  • When the fries are cooked, take them out from the fry pan carefully and put them on the plate. You can remove the extra oil by using tissue paper or towel paper.

  • Then, Garnish the masala French fries with freshly chopped coriander leaves. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ketchup or mayonnaise.

Tips:

  • Adjust the spices to your taste. If you like it spicier, add more chili powder. If you prefer a milder taste, reduce the amount of spices.
